DELOITTE TOPS LEAGUE FOR SOUTH WEST UNIVERSITIES

Business advisory firm, Deloitte, has been voted No.1 employer for high-flyer graduates by final year students at all three of the South West‘s top universities.

This emerged from the latest ranking of the country‘s 100 leading graduate employers, involving interviews with 15,000 final year students in 14 primary universities, that saw Deloitte beat such major organisations as the BBC and the Civil Service to take second place for the third year running.

Final year students at Bath, Bristol, and Exeter Universities voted Deloitte into top position, and went on to back their opinion with job applications.

Deloitte received 225 applications from Bath University students, 302 from Bristol University, and 169 from Exeter University.

Senior Partner for Deloitte in the South West, Denis Woulfe, said:  “Nationally, we recruit more than 1,400 graduates and undergraduates each year, for roles in 21 UK offices.  This year, those recruits will include 88 from among the 696 students who submitted applications from Bath, Bristol, and Exeter Universities.

“The national vote by university students throughout the country is a huge recognition of our sustained efforts to make Deloitte Britain‘s top graduate employer”, he added.
