BIGGER, BETTER, BRIGHTER – early years from The Consortium new catalogue is out now!

Leading Education supplier The Consortium is celebrating the first anniversary of its Early Years service with the launch of the latest catalogue, with over 100 more pages and over 1,000 more products than the last edition.

The 500-page catalogue showcases over 5,000 products for all early years requirements, including baby and toddler toys, nursery equipment, soft play sports, educational posters and puzzles and games. More than 25,000 additional products are available online at www.earlyyears.co.uk.

This is an important year for those working in the early years sector with the September introduction of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which sets stringent standards for learning and care of children up to five.

To help early years professionals meet these standards one of many innovations to this year‘s catalogue is the inclusion of the new icons denoting products which will assist in the areas of development required by the EYFS.

It also contains a brand new, 12 page, sensory range to help stimulate children‘s imagination and development plus the early years furniture section has doubled in size.

Brian Potter, Marketing and Sales Director at The Consortium, said: “Building on the success of our new service launch last year, the new catalogue has been developed with feedback from settings and early years professionals nationwide.”

He added: “We believe The Consortium is unique in offering early years establishments a convenient way to shop for a wide range of products from craft materials and play equipment through to cleaning materials, catering supplies and even office furniture.”

The Consortium, also a leading supplier to the education and care home sectors, is sending out 20,500 copies of its catalogue to early years professionals and hopes to build on last year‘s success.

In keeping with The Consortium‘s green credentials, where it encourages online ordering, 20 per cent of customers placed orders via The Consortium‘s early years website, www.earlyyears.co.uk. It‘s hoped that this number will grow further this year.

Mr Potter added: “Our ‘buying-made-easy‘ promise is one of the reasons our customers vote us number one.”
