GET READY FOR SUMMER AND TROWBRIDGE IN BLOOM SAYS THE CONSORTIUM

It‘s hard to believe with the current weather, but The Consortium, on Canal Road Trading Estate in Trowbridge is already looking ahead to the summer.

The national procurement and fulfilment company, which employs over 240 people supplying the care and education sectors, has provided recycled plastic planters to Trowbridge Town Council for the “Welcome to Trowbridge” displays and is sponsoring planting on a roundabout to support Trowbridge in Bloom.

Melanie Teal, Chief Executive of The Consortium says: “Many of our staff live in Trowbridge and we have been based here since our formation in 1971.  As a company we work hard to minimise our environmental impact and are keen to contribute to making Trowbridge a more beautiful environment.

“Trowbridge in Bloom makes a real difference to the town and we are pleased to support this worthwhile initiative.”

Recently short listed for an Environmental Award in the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards, the company takes ‘green issues‘ very seriously and works hard to be environmentally friendly and sustainable in its activities.

Trowbridge in Bloom encourages residents and businesses to get involved and either sponsor displays or get planting and enter the competitions, all to help Trowbridge look its best this summer.

ENDS             7th February 2008
