LAWYERS, CONVEYANCERS AND PROPERTY PROFESSIONALS GET TO GRIPS WITH LATEST ON HIPS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

Lawyers, conveyancers and property professionals will be tackling the key issues affecting conveyancing, including the latest on Home Information Packs (HIPs) and environmental matters at a range of seminars across the country.

The events are organised by Jordans, one of the UK‘s largest providers of property searches.  Each seminar will feature lecturer, environmental legal specialist and author of the Law Society‘s Environmental Handbook Trevor Hellawell and Denis Cameron, member of the HIP task force, former Chair of the Law Society‘s Conveyancing and Land Law Committee and Law Society council member.

Both speakers will be looking at the most recent legislation; the latest on HIPs delivery and preparation, Energy Performance Certificates, the personal search problem and key environmental issues, while advising delegates on best practice and future problem areas.

Brian Gibbons, Jordans Head of Conveyancing comments: ”These half day seminars offer delegates a focused and cost effective way to get to grips with key industry issues, from the latest on HIPs to focused analysis of current environmental issues and legislation, and the hot topic – flooding.”

Jordans provides thousands of clients with conveyancing searches for both residential and commercial property transactions.  The firm is one of only three National Land Information Service (NLIS) channels providing electronic property searches and also works with the Law Society to provide an online HIP.
