RICS South West

DEADLINE LOOMING TO ENTER THIS YEARS RICS AWARDS

Entries for the South West‘s “Property Oscars” close in two weeks.

The deadline for entering this year‘s RICS Awards - which celebrate new projects in the built and natural environment - is Friday 18th January.

Projects will be entered into regional heats in May, before the International awards take place in London in October.  The South West has seen a number of projects succeed on the international stage with past winners including the Eden Project in Cornwall, The Campus, Locking Castle, Weston-super-Mare and Wilbury Park, Newton Tony, Wiltshire.

Matthew McKaig, Director RICS West said: “The South West has had a long line of projects which have taken the honours at the international awards and this year‘s ceremony saw St Paul‘s Church, Bristol win the Community Benefit Award 2007.

“With the deadline closing in on us it is important that anyone wishing to enter this year‘s competition should make their entry in the next couple of weeks.”

The awards are just one of the ways RICS promotes best practice in the built and natural environment and consists of four categories:

  • Building Conservation
  •  Regeneration
  • Sustainability
  • Community Benefit
