JORDANS PROVIDES LAW SOCIETY ONLINE HIP CHOICE

Jordans has joined with the Law Society to increase the range of choice available to solicitors by providing a Law Society endorsed online Home Information Pack (HIP). 

Available from 14 December and launched to coincide with the roll-out of HIPs to all properties being sold in England and Wales, the new online HIP will be available to any lawyer registering on the HIPs area of the Law Society website (www.hips.lawsociety.org.uk).

Jordans is the UK‘s biggest provider of business information and corporate services, and is one of only three National Land Information Service (NLIS) channels. The firm provides electronic property searches to thousands of clients for both residential and commercial property transactions. 

Brian Gibbons, Jordans Head of Conveyancing comments: “Jordans has joined with the Law Society to offer lawyers increased choice and real peace of mind for estate agents and their customers who now have to provide a HIP for every property from 14 December.

“Industry research has revealed that while awareness of HIPs is high, actual understanding is low and confusion is widespread.  However, our partnership with the Law Society offers lawyers all of the support and information they might need, backed up by our many years of knowledge and experience.”

The Law Society‘s online HIP does not require special software, and any solicitors registering to use the package will receive full training and support. 

Designed to integrate with the solicitors existing processes, the documents can be completed online, additional information can be scanned and uploaded and once all compiled, the entire HIP is quality checked and delivered either as an online link, hard copy or cd.
