INTEGRAL INTERVIEWS MARLWOOD SCHOOL PUPILS

Two of Integral‘s contract managers will be helping pupils from Marlwood School, Bristol to prepare for interviews with potential employers.

Integral is the UK‘s largest independently owned national building maintenance provider, with its head office at Aztec West, Bristol.  As a local employer the company is keen to work with and support the community wherever possible.

The mock interview practice has been organised by the school for its Year 11 pupils. Held over two days, Integrals‘ contract managers will be conducting eleven interviews each.

John Eastley and Mark Turner, both based at Integral‘s Aztec West offices will be assessing pupils and giving feedback on covering letters, CVs, and application forms as well as conducting ‘mock interviews‘.

They will also be giving constructive criticism on presentation, dress code, body language and what not to do, together with hints and tips for success.

While many of the pupils at Marlwood School intend to stay in education to study ‘A‘ levels and then to go onto Higher Education, some will be looking for more vocational opportunities.

Integral‘s contract managers will be able to talk about the apprenticeships offered by the company and their own career paths while offering practical tips on work experience and techniques for college applications.

Bryan Glastonbury, Managing Director of Integral comments: “Mark and John were keen to get involved in this exercise.  They both have their own experiences and successful careers to draw on when speaking to the students.

“By working with Marlwood School and helping the students in this way, we can provide direct practical support while building good links with our local community.

“In addition, this exercise helps Integral as well as the students.  It‘s good to understand the choices influencing young people so that we can use that knowledge when we are looking to recruit.”

ENDS             10th December 2007
