THE CONSORTIUM RAISES MORE THAN £54,000 FOR CANCER RESEARCH UK

Staff at The Consortium have raised £25,000 for Cancer Research UK over the last year and more than £54,000 since 2004.

Employees at the award-winning national procurement and fulfillment company based in Trowbridge, have over the past year, organised a wide range of events to raise money including quizzes, raffles, a sponsored golf day for staff and customers, as well as annual warehouse sale.

Members of staff have also taken part in fundraising events organised by Cancer Research UK including the Race for Life and the Big Kerching which collected items for sale in the charity‘s shops.

The firm has selected Cancer Research UK as its nominated charity for the last three years.

Chris Hubbard, Charity Designate at The Consortium says: “We have all worked really hard to reach our fundraising target this year of £25,000, it‘s been quite a challenge and we‘ve been quite imaginative with the events we have organised. 

Cancer Research UK is a charity we all feel strongly about, over the last three years it has been our nominated charity and we have now raised more than £54,000.

We all feel it‘s important to support a charity and our regular fundraising events not only raise money, they contribute towards the businesses ‘team spirit‘ as well as being great social occasions.”

“We are thrilled that they continue to help our cause year on year and this year‘s fundraising has been by far the best. Virtually all of our funding comes from the public and we rely on support like this.

“Without this backing we would not be able to make new discoveries to prevent, detect and treat cancer. The Consortium have proven to be enthusiastic and committed to helping us beat cancer.“
