EDMOND GETS IT OFF HIS CHEST FOR COMIC RELIEF

Charity waxing stunt raises more than £500 for good causes

A member of staff at Spire Bristol Hospital endured a hair-raising experience when he had his chest waxed for charity.

Private treatment co-ordinator Edmond Price raised more than £500 for Comic Relief when he completed the stunt on Red Nose Day.

“The pain was unbelievable,” said Edmond, “I‘ve always wanted to raise money for Comic Relief so when a colleague dared me to have my chest waxed I thought it was an excellent idea and agreed to it.”

The chest waxing was done by Fresh Clinics of Bristol and resulted in just over £520 being raised for the charity which helps communities in Africa and the UK.

“I‘m delighted to have raised so much money and at such short notice and I‘d like to thank all the staff at Spire Bristol Hospital who sponsored me,” said Edmond.

“I wasn‘t quite prepared for how painful it was going to be and the experience has certainly given me a whole new respect for women who regularly have their legs waxed!”
