MARATHON MOTORCYCLE RIDE AIMS TO RAISE £5k FOR KING STURGE 250TH ANNIVERSARY CHARITIES

Bristol secretary Bridget Hiscox has set off on a 2,500-mile charity motorcycle ride around the coast of England and Wales.

Bridget, who works at international property consultants King Sturge, is undertaking the challenge as part of the firm‘s250th anniversary celebrations.

She left the firm‘s offices in Berkeley Square bound for Tenby in Wales today (12th July) and will take in 15 stops as she heads clockwise around the coast before arriving back in Bristol in a fortnight‘s time.

The “Huggin‘ The Coast” ride aims to raise £5,000 for King Sturge‘s 1760 Charity Appeal in aid of the Orchid Cancer Appeal, which is dedicated to the research and treatment of men‘s cancers, and the Children‘s Trust, which works with children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injury.

Bridget is being sponsored by another long-established Bristol business, Fowlers Motorcycles, which has supplied her with a Suzuki Gladius 650cc for the trip, plus textile clothing and insurance. Founded in 1926 and still owned and run by family members, Fowlers has grown into one of the country‘s largest motorcycle retailers and is a long-standing client of King Sturge.
