LEADING FINANCIAL FIRM EXPANDS ITS BRISTOL OPERATION AT TEMPLEBACK

NFU Mutual‘s decision is “ringing endorsement” of city‘s importance, says UK & European

The Bristol office market has received a welcome boost with news that a leading financial company has just expanded its city operations.

When UK & European Development‘s 123,000 sq ft Templeback building was finished last July, NFU Mutual had already signed up to occupy the entire fourth floor.

Now the company, which specialises in insurance, pensions and investments and which this year celebrates its centenary, has also taken on the 22,500 sq ft third floor.

Barney Kelham, Managing Director of UK & European who developed and own the building, said: “With many of Bristol‘s other financial service organisations struggling in the economic downturn, NFU Mutual‘s business has performed exceptionally well over the last year with annual sales now exceeding £1 billion.

“Their decision to expand in Bristol rather than look elsewhere is a ringing endorsement, not just of Templeback‘s superior quality, but of the city itself.”

Over the last hundred years NFU Mutual has massively expanded its business to encompass all sectors of the economy; however their heritage is firmly rooted in the rural and farming community.

Templeback is being marketed by international property consultants King Sturge and Ian Wills, partner in the firm‘s Bristol office agency, said: “We are delighted that such a successful company as NFU Mutual has decided to double its office space in the building.”

King Sturge and Hartnell Taylor Cook are joint agents.
