SOUTH WEST VAT EXPERT PUBLISHES NATIONAL GUIDE-BOOK

Bishop Fleming‘s VAT Director writes “VAT Digest” publication for all UK tax advisers.

Rhona Graham, the recently-appointed Director of VAT for South West accountancy firm, Bishop Fleming, has become a best-selling author for tax advisers.

Her advice on VAT issues   affecting the supply of staff or freelancers has been published as a “VAT Digest”, endorsed by the Institute of Indirect Taxation.

The 12-page digest is provided to tax advisers throughout the UK, and is Rhona‘s second publication on VAT advice.  She produced an earlier digest on the VAT issues affecting social and affordable homes.

According to Andrew Browne, Bishop Fleming‘s senior tax partner:  “Rhona is widely recognised as one of Britain‘s foremost experts on VAT issues and opportunities.  Her latest publication is a must-read for accountants advising clients who provide their staff or contracted freelancers to customers – especially if they are charities.

“A detailed understanding of VAT issues and opportunities can provide business-owners and charities with a vehicle for reducing their tax-spend”, he added.

Bishop Fleming‘s VAT Director, Rhona Graham said:  “VAT is widely viewed as a simple sales-tax, but it is a complex arena in which companies and charities can waste or save massive sums of money.

“My focus is on helping those organisations to discover how they can use the VAT rules to minimise their costs and maximise their recovery of VAT expenditure”, she added.
