CAN YOU AFFORD TO IGNORE VIDEO?

Video content is fast becoming a genuine “must” for corporate websites.

There was a video-boom in the ‘80s and ‘90s, when every corporate client wanted to produce video-tapes for regular staff-news, training, and sales messages.

Legions of former-TV-broadcasters built a new career on presenting those videos, and training businessmen on how to appear on camera.

Then we all suffered a plague of “video-fatigue”.  New and different communications media arose, like websites and intranets.

So the “video-industry” went away.

But now that industry (or, at least, the most visionary element) has discovered a new lease of life!

Video-content makes a huge difference to corporate websites – transforming the online appeal of those sites, boosting Google-rankings, and bringing those websites to life.  Most websites are just on-screen brochures.

This is not an opportunity to revive those lengthy self-promoting corporate video programmes:  this is the moment for professionally crafted video-clips (hosted on You-Tube, to ensure rapid down-load and wider access) to enliven websites.  And it can be done for a fraction of the price of a corporate video programme!

Your website probably contains lots of information about your business  and your services:  does it contain any video-content to enable visitors to meet you, and Google to direct visitors to your website?
